The Country Club Heights Social Committee is excited to announce our upcoming 7th annual Festival in the Heights block party in Shamrock Park on Saturday, October 21 from noon until 4pm. We’ll be closing off Jeff Street between Airlie and Hilliard so there’s plenty of room for everyone!
CCH Neighborhood Association wants to give a big shout out to all of our great neighbors here in Country Club Heights who add so much to this wonderful neighborhood. Come along with family or friends and head out to the park for a delightful October afternoon.
For eats we’ll have smoked pork BBQ by Cousin’s BBQ (CCH neighbor Blaine Barfield), hot dogs on the grill (regular and veggie), slaw, and chips along with water.
We’ll have Drums 4 Life with Kojo Bey perform at 2:00 p.m. on the tennis court. Come out for a fun, interactive African drumming performance! A special thanks to Aldersgate Retirement Community for being the presenting sponsor for this year’s festival.
For the kids we’ll have a Bouncy House. Along Jeff Street there’ll be booths set up for anyone who wants to showcase your business or sell your arts & crafts (see below link for more details).
And of course we need volunteers too – so please consider helping out in this way! Contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
· Set-up and clean-up – Set up (11am-noon) and clean-up (4-5p)
· Food servers – hand out food items (2 shifts: 1-2 and 2-3)
We hope everyone will come out and enjoy themselves, meet their neighbors, hang out with friends and enjoy the afternoon. Food service will begin at 1:00 and will be available while quantities last, so don’t wait too late. Our eats and drinks are on the house, but if you’re able we’d certainly appreciate a small donation to help defray festival costs.
